NEW YORK – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today thanked the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives for its work, as it holds another public hearing today to investigate the abortion industry’s gruesome practices.
“Former federal prosecutors will testify at today’s House hearing on the pricing of fetal tissue that there is probable cause to believe that abortion businesses have violated federal law,” stated Fr. Pavone. “We know that they have been violating the law for decades; the panel’s work will confirm this.”
Former U.S. Attorney Michael Norton will tell House Select Investigative Panel members that they should conduct “an aggressive investigation” into the pricing of aborted baby body parts for research. Former federal prosecutor Brian Lennon will state that “a competent, ethical federal prosecutor” could establish probable cause that violations of federal law have occurred in abortion clinics.
“Unfortunately, the Democratic members of this panel will be of no help in getting to the truth,” added Fr. Pavone. “Democratic leadership in the House is in bed with the abortion industry, is completely blind to its immoral and illegal activities, and in fact has criticized the work of this Select Panel from the outset. Despite their obstruction and opposition, however, I am confident that the Republican majority will get the job done.”
